Trains to Portsmouth and Cincinnati Discontinued
Beginning Wednesday December 10 the first morning train from Cincinnati to Portsmouth and the first Portsmouth to Cincinnati in the afternoon will be discontinued. The Flyer will cover the local stops and operate the service from the Pennsylvania depot. The Portsmouth to Cincinnati morning train and the Cincinnati to Portsmouth first train will use Northern depot Cincinnati.

Prominent Cler Monter Dr J Spence Dies at 60
Funeral services for Dr J Spence, president of Clermont County School Board, were held at his Milford residence on Cleveland Avenue. Rev Charles Williams and officials from the Lebanon Presbyterian church and Milford Masonic Lodge conducted the rites. Interment was in Green Lawn Cemetery. Floral tributes came from schools and societies. pallbearers were county education board members and Masons. He was 60 and active during the flu epidemic last winter, which hastened health decline.

Frank M. Titus of Williamsburg was pulled into a corn shredder while feeding it on his farm last Thursday. His quick action saved his arm and hand, but he lost a thumb and forefinger and may face a second joint amputation. another Highland county farmer, Ralph Evans, had his hand and arm ground off near the shoulder and needed shoulder amputation after a glove caused the accident.

Farmer John Pride Dies on Bantam Road Work
John Pride a 65 year old farmer on Bantam road near Williamsburg collapsed and died at work from heart trouble last Thursday. Survived by a widow and three daughters Mrs Crosewell Williamsburg Mrs Mary Alfred of the city and Mrs Nellie Hutchens of Wilmington plus son William of Goshen and two sisters. Burial planned Saturday at Arnheim Brown county. Pride had lived in the area eight years.
