All county tax commissioners in the state are ordered to Columbus to appear in the House chamber on Thursday morning to receive commissions and instructions on procedure bonds and organization. Veteran Conover of Marathon Dies from Gas Poisoning
W E Conover of Marathon, Ohio died November 29 1918 from gas poisoning caused by a defective coal stove. He and his wife were found unconscious November 12. she recovered while he lingered until death. Funeral held December 1 at the M E Church Marathon with interment in Bloom Rose Brown County. He served in Co K 0 V I for four years or more and was highly respected in the community.

Obituary of Joseph Kurlach Veteran of Two Civil War Commands
Joseph Kurlach born July 29 1834 in Austria died November 27 1913 in Batavia Ohio from injuries and heart failure after a fall. He served in the Union Army with the Ninth Ohio and the 191st Infantry, fought at Rich Mountain Carnifax Ferry and Mill Springs, wounded in 1862, later re enlisted in 1865, honorable discharge. He lived in Cincinnati eighty years then Clermont county for twenty, survived by widow, one son, four daughters and eighteen grandchildren. The family thanks Jensee Bills Post No 140 Qa A R and funeral participants.
