Oldest Batavia M. B. Church Member Dies at 88
Aunt Hannah Kidd aged 88 and widow of Joseph Kidd died last Thursday after a year of ill health. She was buried from Batavia M. B. Church Saturday afternoon and laid to rest in Union Cemetery. She was mother to J. S. Kidd and several other children. Burial followed at the Kidd homestead above town.

Big Eagle Killed in Walker Woods by Clarence Wilkin
A gray eagle about 7 ft 6 in from wing tip to wing tip was killed by Clarence Wilkin in Walker Woods after pursuing a Wilkin family dog. The bird flew after being shot and measured 8 ft 4 in from beak to tail. Wilkin displays the specimen at his residence for inspection. The bird is accused of carrying off small pigs and chickens.

Strange Accident at Manchester Gas Line Engine Run
Special Reporter Charles Curry was seriously injured last Friday when a flywheel exploded during operation of a gas line engine. A piece struck him on the chest and another on the breast, requiring immediate surgical aid. He is believed to have sustained serious internal injuries.

Auto Turns Over Near Afton Injures Two Batavia Men
Charles Buerkle and George Long of Batavia were in a Ford that overturned at a culvert near Afton after a dance in Williams burg last Wednesday night.
