Governor and trio seek disaster aid and Route 125 restoration

At a Columbus conference a tri county delegation urged Governor ONeill to push disaster relief funds and include rebuilding Route 125 in the next highway program. Clermont county officials pressed for a circle highway route, while Don Ison and Richard Stevens urged federal aid for flood damages to roads and bridges.

Fair Horse Show Sees 499 Entries At County Fair

Clermont County Western Saddle Club event draws 499 entries including 149 horses and ponies. Results list multiple classes with top placers including Dusty, Appache Squaw, Ted, and Goldie across divisions such as Lead in Pony, Plain Colored Pleasure, Cole Bending, Child Rider, Western Pair, Pick-Up, Bridle Path, and Roadster Pony.

Boy Bicycle Rider Cited By Patrolman In Juvenile Court

A 12 year old Miami towne boy was cited to Juvenile Court for reckless operation of a bicycle after a Teal Town Road Teal Lane crash with a 40 year old Batavia man George Halk ee. Patrolman G C Fisher reported $25 damage to the car and $5 to the bicycle with no injuries. The boy is set to appear August 29.

Tinker Toy Leads Mini Derby Across Kentucky Circuit

Tinker Toy owned by Shelby Flora of Brookville Kentucky with rider LeRoy Woods takes first placing. Ginger Peachy owned by Aut Cox from Toba Co Road scores second with rider Kenny Swope. Little Dan owned by Carl Woodruff from Route 2 Bethel finishes third with rider listed. Continued on page 5.

Puppet Show Draws Large Crowd at Grailville

About 150 children and adults enjoyed an outdoor puppet show of The Sleeping Beauty at Grailville on Sunday August 17. Puppets and music were by Gabriel House team members from the Grail's Cincinnati Center as part of Community Development activities.
