Eastgate Mall hosts an Aug 13 to 16 Back-to-School Sale with fall fashions in vivid colors and jungle prints. Features include clothing, earrings, tapes, shoes, leotards, and dancewear across Eastgate stores, following a Aug 8–9 fashion show by 25 models from Familiar Faces and mall stores.
The Familiar Faces Barbizon show featured Barbizon models presenting new fall and back to school looks from mall stores. Outfits ranged from Western chic to preppy casual with Elizabeth Bieser directing the Cincinnati agency. The program advertised agency reach of about 180 offices nationwide including Puerto Rico and offered info at 221-6849.
Eastgate Mall invites bubble gum enthusiasts to compete in its first Bubble Gum Blow-Off. Registration opens Monday, Aug 17, for ages eight and under, nine to twelve, and thirteen and up. Three winners per age group receive Eastgate Merchants Association gift certificates. Contenders supplied gum for the contest.
The All American Home and Energy Show at Eastgate Mall runs August 31 through displays cover home improvements, swimming and related products. Sponsored Shows Inc. presents exhibits open to the public with numerous displays and sale opportunities.
