Commissioners vote unanimously to submit a two mill road levy at the November election. The levy, aimed to raise about $46 000 annually for five years, follows prior defeat and funds bridges and road maintenance. Crane School House Reunion Celebrates Pupil and Faculty Ties
A large turnout of former pupils teachers and friends attended the Crane School House annual reunion and homecoming on Sunday August 4. Emcee Dale Bee led the day with a noon dinner under the trees and a program of songs readings and remarks. Officers elected for 1936 include Emery Parker president Ralph Tuttle vice president Norma Lee Hilebrower secretary and Dora Parker treasurer. The gathering featured musical numbers recitations and impromptu talks by notable attendees including the oldest teacher present C J Swing and ninety three year old alumna Mary Simpson Burroughs. The group closed with God Be With You Till We Meet Again and scheduled the next reunion for August 1936.

Lost Man Found After Mysterious Disappearance
Cye F Ridings of Milford reappeared at Rollie DeBord's in Jackson township Route 188 at 11 pm Wednesday after vanishing July 16 while on a route to Love land. He drank water, lay under a tree, and was taken home by Deputy Sheriff Tom Brooks. He offered no explanation for his absence and was reported sick on return.

Batavian Resident William Myrick Dies at 75
William Myrick, a lifelong Batavia resident long in failing health, died Wednesday at Bethesda Hospital at age 75. Funeral services will be at Moore's Funeral Home Friday afternoon with burial in Union Cemetery. He spent many years in Batavia's meat business and is survived by one brother in Illinois.
