Dairymen Strike Halts Milk in Cincinnati Region

Ohio Indiana and Kentucky dairymen organized by the Fri-State Milk Association met in Cincinnati and began a strike against milk dealers demanding a 10 cent per gallon rise. 86th Hulick and Weaver Reunion Draws Distinguished Guests

The 86th Hulick and Weaver families reunion at Highland Park drew visitors from many states. Governor Judson Harmon gave a half hour address on family and state, with remarks by President Weaver. Governor Harmon was named an honorary member, and the day featured the Conner trio band and a festive evening dance.

Uncle Joe Titus Dies at 79 A Clermont County Figure

Joseph Titus known as Uncle Joe died at his Main Street home aged 79 after a long career in merchandizing sheriff work Sun travel insurance and in later years the insurance field He was born May 9 1831 in Dutchess County New York and moved to Ohio with his family He journeyed to California in 1852 early in life and later managed Julia Dean s movie venture He married Eunice Townsley in 1876 then Mrs Sullivan in 1885 and finally Anna Hulick in 1989 He was praised for generosity loyalty to trust and love of nature music and literature Funeral services were held at his home led by Rev Burdsall.

Chautauqua Opens in Clermont with Broad Program

The Chautauqua at Highland Park opened last Sunday to large attendance and favorable weather. The schedule features Otterbein quartet and bell ringers, lectures by A. H. Harnly and Lamar, and performances by the Jubilee Singers, Royal Entertainers, and Ziegler Company. Visitors enjoy concerts, elocution, cartoons, and a variety of acts through Friday with final days by the Zieglers and Hendrixon.

Terrace Park Plans Waterworks and Electric Lights

Terrace Park council has advanced plans for a waterworks plant and electric lighting with paving. Bonds of 25 000 dollars are approved. villagers pay 70 percent of costs, Milford to supply water at 25 cents per 1 000 gallons, five miles of pipe needed. An electric plant near the river estimated at 7 000 dollars would light the park for 1 500 the first year and 1 000 annually thereafter.
