A Partition Notice from the Court of Common Pleas in Clermont County Ohio identifies Thomas W Frazee as a party in partition proceedings. The notice directs interested parties to respond or appear as required by court rules.
An 1860 satire shows Abram Lincoln visiting Washington and Lincoln delivering blunt remarks to Buck and the Cabinet. The piece quips about debts, policies, and party splits, ending with Buck and the Cabinet left to face their fate as the Bart River looms.
In a sunny midsummer scene the meadow teems with hay and forest shade. A cool sheltered seat by pines and oaks overlooks a rivulet where butterflies, quail, partridge, and woodpeckers move among rippling waters and woodland song. A kingfisher and bluebird flash as two tiny feathers drift by the brook.
The Charlottesville Review writes that women are the friese and carvings around the temple of humanity the sauce which gives all its sweetness to the dumpling of lite.
In 1805 Jesse Justice built cabins near Sugar Tree Creek turnpike. He bought 500 acres at two dollars an acre and died debt free in 1826. His children were Catharine, Jesse, John, Saville, Samuel and Robert. Saville survived. Justice was a New Jersey Methodist preacher who remembered war events clearly. Edward Barton, a New Jersey man, acquired land from Justice and built cabins nearby, later selling to Saville Wilson. Robert Leeds settled near Bantam toll-gate in 1804, with the road diverting by his farm until the turnpike was built. Benjamin Clarke, an eccentric wit, lived near Bantam on Alrey’s Run and married a neighbor’s widow after a famed tale. Edward Kinnan, a millwright near Ulrey’s Run, raised a large family and died in Batavia.
In 1854 Stark county’s National Democracy convention denounced Stephen A. Douglas as an arch traitor for urged repeal of the Missouri Compromise. The piece notes Democrats who backed that 1854 rebuke now rally Douglas’s nomination at Baltimore and asks if he is any better in 1860. Hardin Rep.

A 75 year old woman in Williamson County Tennessee reportedly built 300 yards of rock fence with her own hands in the last year and carried all materials herself. Deputy marshals and multiple witnesses attest to the feat, claiming no parallel in any other state or county.
A man in Gortanaville Virginia beat a slave with a stick then tied his feet and threw him head first into a hogshead of water. The slave died the coroner's jury returned a verdict death from congestion of the brain The Charlottsville Review notes another nearby case where a negro died shortly after punishment with a verdict of death from a combination of circumstances
The Ohio Statesman calls the Douglas faction the Democracy and jokes about their platform placing them in a breech. A Cleveland Democrat column mocks President Buchanan with a witticism about his works. A domestic quip shows Aunt E nudging a child toward sundown as chickens retire.
A desolate widow weeps beside a cabin as a visitor learns her story and jokes with her about finding a new husband. She recalls John as the best fiddler, recalling tunes and dancing before he died. A live cat leaps from a mail bag in Charleston, Maryland, during mail opening.

The piece blends comic antiques with brief notes on a church stunt, literary sighs, and a Paris or London newspaper quip about a perfect lady’s horse.
