Early 1808 settlers near Ulrey's Run and Collins school
In spring 1808 families lived west of Ulrey's Run including Ulrey Tegardon Jeffers Chapman Kriss Huson and Hugong with widows Chandler and Winans. Most attended Collins school house within two miles. That fall a small party walked from Collins farm toward a Gatch settlement camp meeting along an undeveloped path near Bassett's Mill to Batavia and George Ely's residence.
