Stage Show to Open at Batavia Town Hall Next Week
Jack Jamieson brings the first in a series of stage and picture shows to Batavia Town Hall on Wednesday and Thursday April 28. Holy Trinity church sponsors a 50‑member cast led by Ruth Violet and Davy and Jonnie and the Savages. The program features six vaudeville acts and a screen feature with George Raft and Joan Bennett in She Couldn't Take It. Two shows nightly at 7 and 9 pm with standard prices of 10 and 25 cents.

Trial Date Set For Cherry In Batavia Jail Case
Cherry now in Batavia jail after identification. He pleaded not guilty before Judge Charles G White with a $5000 bond. Grand jury indicted Cherry and brother Wilson Cherry alias Church on six counts of burglary larceny and receiving stolen goods. Jury met Thursday and Friday. The brothers broke from Batavia jail in July 1932 while awaiting action on receiving stolen goods near Milford where about 2000 dollars of building materials were found.
