Barn Blown Down During Wind Storm

Richard Slade of Elk Lick lost his tobacco barn in the heavy wind last Sunday afternoon, causing about 600 dollars in damage. The storm also felled trees and frightened residents across the area.

Colored Masons Purchase Building for Lodge Home

The colored Masons lodge has bought the Charles Griffin building at Fifth and Main, a two story structure with basement, for 500 dollars. A committee led by John Borrel, John Brown and Jan Roach arranged the deal for a lodge with about 25 members. Thelman has been appointed superintendent of the schools at Abon College in Columbiana County.
