VFW Post 6562 at 1596 SR 131 Milford sponsors an Easter bunny brunch on Saturday April 11 from 11 am to 2 pm. The event costs $1.25 and features games prizes for kids and photos with the Easter bunny for a small fee.

Batavia residents will discuss Northeast Neighborhood public and housing improvements on Wednesday April 22 at 7 p.m. at Holy Trinity Social Hall. Grants Coordinator Al Keller will report on HUD funded 136000 for a three year housing program, with work possible to start this fall if approved.
Eastgate Mall hosts a special Easter Bunny event with interpreter Virginia Dalton inside the bunny suit on Thursday April 9 and Friday April 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Deaf children may sit on her lap and describe Easter basket wishes, with ongoing sessions through April 16 daily 10-1 2-5 6-9 and Sundays 12-2 2:30-5. Rev. Paul McCulley of Summerside Church of God announces candidacy for Union Township trustee. He joins Jerry R. McBride and others in a nonpartisan race leading to the November 3 election. Genealogists from Clermont County transport fragile 1836 to present Clermont Courier volumes to Columbus for microfilming. With help from the Clermont County Society and local donors, Magazines from basement storage and former publisher Jerald Fortney’s volumes are being consolidated at the Ohio Historical Society for archival conversion.
A Clermont County Grand Jury indicted former Clermont Nor theastern High School teacher Mr Riley on three counts of rape one count of kidnapping and one of robbery. The 19 year old Anderson Township woman was allegedly abducted July 4 1980 and raped multiple times over twelve hours before she freed herself and reported to police. Riley who lived in Amelia was arrested March 28 by Hamilton County deputies and bound over to the grand jury. Contd on page 2.
Residents voice opposition to CER Inc land fill plan on Aber Road as Judge Ralph A Hill rules local governments have no say over industrial waste sites. The ruling cites a state law, with trustees considering an appeal that could take years and faces slim chances of success, according to County Prosecutor George Pattison.
A 48 year old Newtonsville man Charles Edward Smith of 526 Newtonsville Road is scheduled for sentencing in Clermont County Common Pleas Court by Judge Louis J. Schwartz. He allegedly received welfare benefits totaling 34 723 62 in 1978, according to county Adult Probation Department records. Contd. on page 2.
