Six Withdraw From Petition In Moscow Transfer Battle
Residents of the Moscow school district seek a remonstrance petition to place the transfer issue to a ballot after six signers withdrew from a petition seeking transfer to the New Richmond exempted village district. The county board had earlier allowed 6 signers to withdraw, reducing valid signatures to 261. The group contends 259 or 263 signatures could represent the required support, while the Felicity-Franklin district plans to vote on accepting Moscow. If approved, Moscow would keep its current staff and K-8 instruction.
