Unofficial precinct tallies indicate Republicans won most officer seats in Jackson, Union South, Amelia, Williamsburg, Franklin, Batavia and Washington precincts with only a few Democratic gains. On Wednesday last Daniel Farno, a prominent German citizen of New Richmond, ascended his stable with a ladder and fell from the top, a 16 foot drop. He sustained two broken ribs and internal injuries, with recovery in doubt.

The youngest son of D 8 Adams of Sulphur, near Rome, was accidentally shot by an older brother Tuesday morning while testing an old revolver believed unloaded. An 82 caliber ball lodged in his abdomen and Dr S B Grimes failed to locate the ball. the victim's recovery is doubtful.
