Defendants included Robert Q. Palmer Manuel Martinez and H J Hammond as officers. The suit notes the debt lingered after a decisive loss and continues on page 4.

Aged Spanish American Resident Mrs Garcia Dies in Miera
Mrs Francisco Garcia died at her home in Miera on June 17 morning. She was married to Don Francisco Garcia who died about a year ago. Loui Garcia, now in Colorado near Trinidad, is the sole surviving member of the original Garcia family. The Garcias were early settlers of Union County and northeast New Mexico, arriving when the area was a wild buffalo range. The family was known as eager citizens of Union County and the region, with many children and relatives left to mourn.
