Petitioned Consolidation of Mosquero School Approved
Lofton Orren Beaty and I traveled to Clayton last Monday to push a consolidated school for Mosquero. The county board of Education approved the petitions and agreed on consolidation. A norther hit the area, bringing light snowfall and a short cold snap. Mr and Mrs Bradley and son Tell joined us for Sunday dinner. Residents of Mosquero formed a literary society. the first program is set for Friday night. December 18 includes a bake sale fundraiser with a real social expected. Mr Fobler is out again after sickness. Taney Lindgeen is resting after two weeks in Den. Ver, says conditions are dull and work is scarce.

Accident injures Stevens family member and hurts Louise
Last Wednesday night a wagon accident harmed E W Stevens and his daughter Louise. Louise suffered lip and hip injuries, treated with plaster. Mr Stevens, aged 68 and a retired railroad man, is recovering. Mrs Stevens aided Louise, and Dr Wingchester attended. A farmers trip yielded five loads of wood. Clark Zickafoose hosted a surprise dinner for Grandpa Zickafoose with a large crowd.
