Jalisco Mexico excursion report and local notes
The San Angelo editor relays readers’ impressions of Jalisco Mexico from a short stop during a pass through the country. Readers say the city’s advertising overstatessome claims, the soil and people appear solid, and plans for future development remain unclear. The piece mentions a letter to the Pan-American Colonization Co and notes the editor’s own hometown connections. Also reported are the death of Capt L C Fort in Topeka and interment at Las Vegas, plus farm and wheat yields in the Panhandle and escape attempts from Carlsbad jails.
