Steelworkers Hold Area Parley in District Conference

Delegates from nearly all area locals attended a district meeting at Local 310's new hall. District Director Al Whitehouse urged union expansion to include white-collar workers and highlighted 1954 convention goals and legislative program. The group announced a 1955 Summer Institute at Miami University with a $2500 scholarship contest.

Local 310 Secures its Own Home Murray Hall

Local 310 United Steelworkers now owns its hall after remodeling Redmens Hall in Fairmount. The district 25 unit named the building Murray Hall and praised President Ed Zeuch and all officers for the achievement ahead of the November 20 meeting.
