Anti-Labor Bills Emerge From Ohio Legislature

CIo Clothing Workers Present 40th Anniversary Pageant

The Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America marks its 40th anniversary with a Cincinnati pageant depicting four decades of labor history. Notables such as Jack Kroll and Joseph Eisen helped organize the production directed by George Brengel, with rehearsals since January and a February 20, 1955, showing at Wilson Auditorium Cincinnati. Tickets are free but limited, with two per member and extra seats available by calling PA 2450.

CIO decries Eisenhower move on veterans benefits

The CIO Veterans Committee chair L S Buckmaster says Washington's plan to give the President power to extend all cut benefits is a travesty of his prior plea for a veto on such veterans benefits. He urges Congress to pass legislation directing the President to restore discontinued benefits and align them with higher living costs.
