Avon author turns novel into local film project
Avon writer Maryanne Lorient adapted her novel Rachel's 9th Inning into a movie largely shot in Avon. The project, directed by Stephen J. Davis, features 23 Ohio residents and scenes at All-Pro Freight Stadium and the Avon police station. The film aims to raise domestic violence awareness with an Academy run planned in 2015 at the Haitian Embassy in Washington, DC, before eight-city rollout by April 25.
