Czechs Fear Peace Would Be Costly
Czechoslovaks in Prague express grave fears after Munich conference news. They worry an agreement among the four powers may come at Czechoslovakia’s expense and fear Britain and France may sacrifice their integrity to avoid a wider war. Officials study the Godesberg denouement and expect a possible international militia to push cession of the Sudeten area to Germany. In Newport Rhode Island a miniature circus top is described as a tiny roadside attraction.
