Weapons cache found near Saddam birthplace in Iraq
US troops uncovered one of their largest caches near Saddam Hussein's birthplace Tikrit, including 23 Russian surface to air missiles 1000 pounds of plastic explosives four RPG launchers 115 rockets 40 mortar rounds 1300 blasting caps and 423 hand grenades. Iraqis assume border patrol duties across 210 mile frontier
