Ohio Court Keeps Hessler Death Sentences For Bank Four Killings
The Ohio Supreme Court ruled 4-3 to uphold the aggravated murder convictions of Jerry F Hessler for a 1995 shooting spree that killed four former Bank One co workers in Columbus and Worthington. Juror misconduct claims were not enough to overturn the death sentences, though some justices would have reversed. Hessler, fired for alleged sexual harassment in 1994, killed three adults and a baby in Columbus, wounded others, then attempted to kill a former girlfriend in Ashland before his arrest.
