Justice glues eye shut juror halts murder trial
In Orange County Superior Court a juror in the double murder case of Douglas F. Stanley accidentally glued her right eye with nail adhesive. Lynda Appling, a 48 year old Garden Grove flight attendant, applied adhesive thinking it was contact lens solution. She returned to the courtroom in pain with a paper towel over her eye and asked not to be removed from the jury. She was treated at St. Joseph's Hospital and released.
