Lorain County backs off suit over conveyance fees
Lorain County commissioners prepared to sue Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae over conveyance fees and were advised by Auditor Mark Stewart that the fees of 4 per 1000 of sale price are due. Stewart says both companies owe the fees as for profit entities. Commissioner Kale noted other counties have filed actions and hoped for a windfall to ease budget concerns.

Teens arrested in Penfield Township theft case
Two teens were arrested and a third sought after about $2,000 worth of farm parts were stolen and cashed at a recycling center. A 17 year old faces breaking and entering theft and fictitious plates charges. a 19 year old had a petty theft warrant. Emil Mandich 18 faces drug charges but not linked to the theft.
