Housing and health woes hit today's older women
Debbie Denziper reports on how 83 year old Matilda Gallostul and other women 60 plus face poverty, housing shortages, and rising caregiving costs after losing a spouse. The Administration on Aging launches a campaign and a policy center to address housing health care and income security for older women. Persistent gender gaps leave many widows divorced or caregiving, with above all poverty and loneliness shaping their later years.
