Radiation leak at Yucca Flat tests poses no danger
Radioactive xenon gas seeped from an underground Yucca Flat cavern near ground zero after two nuclear blasts on the Nevada Test Site. DOE said exposure was far below health risk, equivalent to less than a chest X-ray, and monitoring would continue for several days within a 3000 foot radius of ground zero.

Nuke leak at Connecticut Yankee poses no public hazard
Officials from federal agencies and utility operator Northeast Utilities said a leak of radioactive gas at the Connecticut Yankee plant was caused by human error and posed no health risk. The gas release lasted about 342 minutes, with safety reviews showing no exceedance of federal limits at the plant boundary. The plant was shut for maintenance, not due to the incident, and operators plan retraining and possible valve lock measures.
