Guidelines for seeking federal funds for development projects
The Lorain County Regional Planning Commission reports guidelines for submitting applications to the EDA for federal economic development funds. The rules, issued after a Columbus meeting with ODOD and EDA, require two copies plus a state clearinghouse copy, no oversized maps, minimum 100000 dollars, and a cap of unspecified million, and to wait until funds are actually available to EDA before submission.

Court ruling favors Land Title
A common pleas court ruled in favor of Land Title Guarantee and Trust Co in its suit against Lorain County Recorder Dorothy L Essex. The decision allows the company to photograph public records with its own equipment, subject to recorder rules for preservation and orderly administration.
