Alice Marie Kishman nee Flaherty 90 of Lorain died September 20 2014. A registered nurse born May 15 1924 in Pittston PA she lived in Lorain since 1948 and belonged to St Mary Church. Survived by daughters Patricia Judith Deborah Stephanie Rose and Michael son in law Loretta 13 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren sister Roselyn and many nieces and nephews. Burial at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials to Cure PS.P or Saint Jude. Her family thanks Mercy New Life Hospice and Anchor Lodge staff.
Harold Hal Gibson 66 of Sheffield Lake died September 21 2014 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home Lorain after illness. Born February 20 1948 in Lorain he was a life long resident and car enthusiast. Survived by his former wife Christine Gibson children Shawn Victoria Lance Skye Michael Haley seven grandchildren three great grandchildren. Thomas Holliday 70 of La Grange died September 20 2014 at Mercy New Life Hospice Lorain after a lengthy illness. He owned a service station in Wellington for over 30 years and was an Army veteran. Survived by wife JoeAnn sons Thomas and Bryan sisters and brothers. grandchildren Jacob and Joey. Services September 25 2014 viewing and September 26 2014 graveside with military honors Amvets Post 32. Donations to Mercy New Life Hospice requested.
Vivian V Burd 86 of Amherst Township died September 23 2014 after a lengthy illness at Mercy Regional Medical Center. Born February 8 1928 in Lorain she lived in Amherst 59 years. A Kent State University graduate she taught elementary education for 20 years in the Elyria Schools. She enjoyed gardening baking solitaire and time with family. Survivors include son Dennis Burd Elyria daughter Susan Comley Lorain grandchildren Edward Brianne Megan Nathan Joshua three great grandchildren and sister Alice Dodds Colorado Springs. Funeral 1 PM September 27 2014 at Hempel Funeral Home Amherst with burial at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Amherst Township.
Dale Edward Nau 79 of Lorain died September 22, 2014 after a brief illness at Mercy New Life Hospice. He served in the U.S. Army and appeared in the film G I Blues with Elvis Presley. Survived by children David, Kevin and Stephanie, granddaughter Jessica, siblings and many relatives.
