Medina Gazette publisher charged with drunken driving
Elyria police arrested George D. Hudnutt 42 of Avon Lake near Midway Mall at 10:30 p.m. Sept 17 for drunken driving and driving on the left side. He pled not guilty at Elyria Municipal Court arraignment and faces a Nov 17 pretrial. Hudnutt is publisher of The Medina Gazette, owned by Lorain County Printing & Publishing Co.

Pony Track Trail rediscovered by Columbia Scouts
Scouts of Troop 176 earned the Historic Trail Award by presenting a summary of the Pony Track Trail from Clough Quarry near Wildwood to the C C C and St Louis railroad tracks near Sprague Road. The first historical trail marked in Columbia Township, it hauled quarry stone along Rocky River.

Ridgeville fixes Bagley bottleneck with gravel access
North Ridgeville closes Bagley Road for 30 days to rebuild the Lorain Road Bridge into a four lane span.
