At a Detroit convention the American Legion voted 1908 to 95 to urge Congress to hold a referendum on repeal or modification of the Fifteenth Amendment. The crowd roared as the outcome appeared certain, then booing and cheers shifted with party lines over prohibition. Akron airship prepared for further tests after maiden voyage
