Two hostage incidents end with man dead and officer shot
In Woodland California a hospital siege left one man dead and an officer wounded after 15 of 35 hostages escaped during a second incident. Earlier at a North Highlands photo plant, two suspects were arrested and 20 workers freed after a gun battle killed one gunman and wounded another. Scott Craig, 31, of Woodland, claimed his son was poisoned as he opened fire in the hospital cafeteria.
