100 mph chase ends in Westlake gunfire after hit and run
Tom Green, 42, fled a minor hit-skip in a station wagon with a trailer at high speed through North Ridgeville and Westlake. After a police chase on Center Ridge Road, Green allegedly pointed a rifle at officers, who fired about five shots, wounding him in the right shoulder. He was reported in fair condition at Fairview General Hospital.

President Carter arrives at Port Columbus at 6 15 p m to dedicate the 18 million Mount Vernon Plaza the largest black owned development of its type in the nation.
