Workmen began installing angle aluminum around 12 cell windows of the Lorain County Correctional Facility in response to a Monday night jail break. Three inmates remain at large. officials say the braces will narrow openings from 12 inches to about five inches to deter escapes.

After 16 months of Concorde test flights to America and lobbying by trends and fees of the supersonic transport, President Carter has decided the future of the SST in the United States. Transportation Secretary Brock Adams was to announce the decision today. Indications were the SST would get the go ahead to land at a few U.S. cities if the cities want the plane. Youth receives probation in girl's shooting death
A 16 year old Elyria youth was placed on probation until his 18th birthday by Lorain County Juvenile Court Judge Henry T. Webber for the accidental shooting death of Marcia L Grime. Jeff Whelan withdrew a plea of innocent and accepted a pre trial report by a juvenile officer. Conditions require the youth to avoid weapons and refrain from handling them. The judge noted mercy requests from the dead girl's father William Grime.
