A couple married yesterday at 2 30 p m in the Congregational Church Sullivan with Rev Donald Wayland officiating. The bride daughter of Mrs Ronald Atkinson Sullivan and groom son of Bob Pressnell Wellington. Reception followed for about 200 guests at the church. Both will reside in a trailer on Peck Wadsworth Rd Wellington.
Emma Joan Blabey and Robert Michael Dinsmoor wed Sept. 14 at the LaGrange Methodist Church in a double ring ceremony officiated by Rev. Raymond W. Gann. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Blakey, wore chantilly lace and peau de soie gown with seed pearl accents. The groom is son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert K. Dinsmoor. A reception for 300 followed at Grange Hall. The couple will reside at 114 South Center St., LaGrange.
The Elyria Chapter of the Gold Star Mothers Inc met at the Legion home and voted to donate to the United Fund. The nominating committee named Mary Heskitt Jessica Perkins and Gertrude Johnson Ruth Jacobs as officers for next year. The annual state service is Sept 29 at 2 pm in Loudenville. Next meeting is Oct 16 at 7 30 pm at the Legion Home. Refreshments were served by Mary Heskitt Gladys Fly and Hazel Krute.

Capt W A Flaherty of Langen Germany announces adoption of second son Michael August, joining Andrew Charles II. Loyce Shores and Joseph Ezra Lacey wed September 14 at 2 p.m. in the home of Loyce’s parents with Rev. Robert J. Gordon officiating. Attendants included Joyce Shores as maid of honor and Paul Hill as best man. A reception for 100 followed at the church social hall.
Janet Lance and Joseph Lambert were married Aug 23 in Las Vegas Nevada. Mrs Wayne Lance, formerly of Elyria and now living in Prescott Arizona, is the bride’s mother. The Lambert couple, Prescott High School graduates, plan to reside in Stafford Arizona with Mr Lambert a student at Eastern Arizona Junior College and Mrs Lambert attending beauty school. The Lances previously lived in Elyria on Lafayette Street and have two sisters in Elyria.
Lorain confirms the marriage of Donna Kay Werner to Kenneth Jay Breckenridge at Delawne Avenue Methodist Church with Rev. Aubrey E. Kirby officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Mildred R. Werner and the late Carl A. Werner. the groom is son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Breckenridge. The ceremony featured organist Walley Morath and soloist Mrs. Russell Love, with detailed descriptions of gown, veil, and cascade bouquet. The couple plan to reside at 210 Illinois Ave following a bridal trip through the New England states.
