National Legion Conclave to Draw Thousands from Ohio
More than fifteen thousand Ohioans outside Cleveland are expected at the American Legion’s second annual national convention in the city September 27 to 29. Colonel John Ro McQuwyx, elected Ohio department commander, calls the estimate conservative from reports across five or six cities. Delegations from Akron, Cleveland area towns, Columbus, Dayton, Toledo, Cincinnati, and Springfield are anticipated, with special trains from Akron and nearby towns. There is strong sentiment in Ohio for Fo W Galbraith of Cincinnati to be National commander, a non-active candidate, as boosters push his renomination potential. Page Two continues.
