Former Oberlin soccer player gets 3 years and more
Koryn Kraemer, 27, a former Oberlin College goalie, was sentenced in Multnomah County Circuit Court to three years and four months in prison plus two years supervised release for second degree attempted assault. He attacked an 78 year old man at a TriMet MAX station in Gresham Oregon in January 2023 during a drug induced schizophrenic episode. The victim later died of pneumonia. Kraemer pleaded guilty after admitting fentanyl alcohol and marijuana use prior to the attack. He acknowledged taking medication for schizophrenia and sought to live with his family after release.
