Clinton impeachment prospects grow as lawmakers weigh appeal

Interstate 90 near Elyria Township reopened at 10 a.m. today, 19 hours after a tractor-trailer crash blocked the road and cut power to 19,000 FirstEnergy customers. Lloyd Rogers, 33, of Ontario, Canada, veered into oncoming traffic west of Route 57, struck a guard rail and a utility pole, causing outages and police and emergency crews to work through the day.

USS Kobe to end rail deal cutting 170 jobs

USS Kobe Steel Co will end its tie with Lake Terminal Railroad by year end, eliminating 170 union jobs. The move follows a rejected five year renewal offer as the company seeks lower costs to keep 2,700 associates employed. Union leaders warn non union workers could be hired, risking learning curve and safety. Rail work occurs inside the mill handling deliveries from Norfolk Southern, Conrail and CSX.

Lorain parents plead no contest in child endangering case
