Serviceman On Furlough Involved In Car Crash
Pfc. Charles W. Haun 24 of 46 Second street on a 27 day furlough spent part in Elyria hospital recovering from an automobile crash last night. His friend Joseph Kelling 1106 Park avenue also injured in the Route 10 collision with an eastbound truck driven by Wilbur Laubis of Kenton. Both in satisfactory condition with multiple bruises and lacerations. Haun, now in his second Army enlistment, was discharged last September after about two years in Okinawa and Korea. He re enlisted three months ago and is to leave for Germany Oct 17. Haun arrived home on furlough Thursday.

Funeral Thursday at 2:30 pm from Sudro Curtis Funeral Home with burial in Pearl Road Cleveland Lutheran Cemetery. Rev Henry Lieske will officiate. Survived by wife Augusta daughter Bertha and brother Frederick in Germany.
