Michigan last week saw Oakland Motor Car Company executives honor top retail salesmen. J G Hiney leads with 107 cars sold while A W Aldrich reports 164, and F W Fenton with 159 along with A G Liles. Detroit Sept. 21 Walter P Chrysler told Dodge Brothers executives that under Chrysler ownership the Dodge Brothers Six posted a 357 percent gain in rates over two former Victory Six models in the year before Chrysler acquired Dodge. He cited gains in truck bus and coach business and praised plant efficiency and design improvements under K T Heller. The Dodge dealer network remains strong and the recovery of the Dodge name renews its standing in global motor markets.
H. G. Evans, proprietor of the Brazd Motor Company, is described as knowing Willis Knight and Whippet cars thoroughly. He built them at the Willys-Overland plant, then held sales roles with James Roe and Oberlin Motor Company before leading Broad Motors, with the business tracing to June 1, 1928, and a sales staff including M. D. Maddock, T. H. Evans, and Henry Starr.
