Marrying mayor ties knots amid city rites in Elyria
Elyria mayor Deanna Hill says she has officiated 352 weddings during her term at City Hall. Several couples failed to appear, while others declined after the ceremony. Hill plans to officiate as many as possible before her term ends. In Elyria, interest in attending school board meetings is low as write‑in candidates surge. Ten people seek three open seats, with only Don Boddy and Holly Brinda on the ballot. Kathryn Karpus leads a write‑in effort.
