Wellington Senior Earns National Merit Semifinalist Honor
Wellington High School senior Savannah McKee is named a 2019 National Merit Scholarship semifinalist after scoring high on the PSAT as a junior. About 16,000 nationwide reach semifinalist status with roughly 7,500 scholarships and over 34 million dollars in awards available.

Stolen bicycle report near college stores. Amherst man charged
On Sept 12 a woman reported a bike stolen near the National Association of College Stores after leaving it by Lorain Street while at work. On Sept 14 Caleb Smith, 21, Shaker Heights, was charged with marijuana possession after a traffic stop and faces Oberlin Municipal Court on Sept 28. Logan Phillips, 40, Amherst, was charged at Morgan and South Main streets.
