A survey by Joseph Gibbons shows many delays at the Klyda post office stem from improper addressing. About half of the delayed mail is returned or destroyed, with roughly 200 first class pieces eligible for directory service but undelivered due to address errors.
Charles G. Dawes former Marietta College alumnus and former U S vice president has donated a collection of more than 100 letters and documents from world famous figures. The stack includes Napoleon Bonaparte and Beetho ven among French writers and composers as well as scientists Arago La Voisier and Risley. Dawes graduated from Marietta College in 1884 and Cincinnati Law School in 1887 and has long served on the college board of trustees.

The Wellington For delivery 229 M. E. Sunday school class visited Mrs. Mattie Foster on Pleasant Street Friday evening. Mrs. May Phelps led devotions, Grace Roedel directed the program, and games were played. Refreshments were arranged by L. A. Grove, Josephine Houghton, and Edna Perkins. The group planned a bake sale for Friday October 3.
