Seville man sentenced eight years in rape case
Anthony Konopinski, 26, pleaded guilty to first degree kidnapping and rape and a second degree felonious assault in the January 31 2017 incident involving a North Ridgeville woman. He received eight years, will register as a sex offender, and earns credit for about 20 months already served.

Dog case heads to grand jury in Lorain
A woman Amanda Pippens and Morris Ellison waived a preliminary hearing in Lorain Municipal Court. They face charges of abandoning animals and cruelty to companion animals after two pit bull mixes were left at an evicted home. One dog died while the other was in a training program at Grafton Correctional Institute. Pippens says she moved out before Ellison and that he arranged a home for the dogs.
