State panel to craft campaign spending laws in Ohio

Oberlin man resentenced for assault on officer
Leonard Woods of 128 North Pleasant Street was resentenced by Judge David Goldthorpe to a 100 dollar fine and 15 days in jail on assaulting Patrolman Henry Marsho. Goldthorpe withheld 50 dollars of the fine and 10 days of the jail term for good behavior a year. The city had appealed the suspended sentence after Woods pleaded guilty to the June 7 assault at the reservoir near the Oberlin Golf Club.
