Judges awarded several reader recipes honorable mention for Vegetable Cookers week. Featured dishes include Fish Chowder with cod and pork, Baked Fish with Tomato Sauce, Bowed White Fish with drawn butter, and Fish Croquettes. Contributions from Elyria and Grafton area home cooks highlighted in this compact list.
The Chronicle Telegram prize contest awards went to Eloise Grossman of Elyria and Mrs Albert Alexander of Grafton each winning one dollar. Grossman submitted Salmon Souffle and Alexander submitted Chicken with Dumplings. additional prizes include Coca Cola and Par-T Pak beverages. Next week features vegetable cookery and winners will be announced Wednesday.
