Avon Lake man arrested after standoff near elementary school
A man in custody after a domestic dispute prompted an Avon Lake standoff near Redwood Elementary School. Police had a warrant for the man over a reported firearm and the Eastern Lorain County Emergency Response Team responded. Redwood Elementary was briefly closed, then re opened as the district resumed normal classes.
