Hospital seeks reversal of Lorain doctor suit ruling
Lorain County Common Pleas Judge LeRoy F Kelly heard a motion to dis dismiss his May 29 order barring Lorain Community Hospital from its peer review policy in the case of Dr George P Gotsis. Attorney David L Herzer said the order jeopardizes the hospital accrediting and Medicare qualifications and halts the physician review process in the Gotsis matter. The motion is part of a lengthy dispute following the hospital's March 29 eviction of Dr Gotsis and his patients after a staff records review.
