Ridgeville Board Faces Rapid Growth and Budget Strain
Ridgeville's seven member Board of Education agrees rapid population growth is stressing schools. Enrollment rose to about 2,700 this year from 2,306 last year, prompting half day classes for first and second graders and planned expansion on a multi phase high school. Members stress the board sets policy, watches public funds, and relies on administrator recommendations for hiring teachers.
