Ingrid Downgraded To Tropical Low Off Atlantic
Ingrid weakened from a tropical storm to a tropical low over the open Atlantic with maximum winds near 35 mph and moving west-northwest at 12 mph. Forecasters said it poses no land threat as its center sits about 425 miles east of the Lesser Antilles. The season’s activity is expected to be busier than average with up to 16 tropical storms, nine of which may become hurricanes.
